Rollerskiing Biomechanics

Analysis of motion patterns and biomechanical analysis are of great importance for the development of sports equipment and for training plans.

skiroll Ltd. relies on basic and applied research in biomechanics in order to incorporate the gained know-how into the engineering of WEASEL Rollski and to break new grounds in design.

In collaboration with the Institute of Biomechanics at the Zürich University for Applied Sciences in Winterthur (ZHAW) skiroll Ltd. conducted analysis of motion patterns and elaborated data for the development and optimisation of rollerskis as well as for specific training.

A summary of the collaboration projects with the ZHAW was presented at the 8th annual conference of the German Society for Biomechanics (DGfB) on March 15-17th 2013 in Neu-Ulm (Germany).
